T-9 · Partial differential equations
Heat, waves and equilibrium.
The three classical equations, each solved twice. Heat is summed from its Fourier modes and stepped on a grid that turns unstable at a sharp limit. A plucked string splits into two travelling halves, and at Courant number 1 the grid reproduces them to the last digit. Laplace's equation relaxes to its answer at a rate the spectrum predicts.
